OmniBAS is the latest microwave radio solution from Intracom Telecom. The system offers extremely high capacity native Ethernet services from a small and flexible indoor-unit. Available in International frequency bands from 6GHz through to 40GHz operating at up to 256QAM the system has a maximum capacity of 1.6Gbit/s and can support up to 4 individual radio modems within the compact 1U indoor-unit. This makes the construction of nodal architectures possible and the inbuilt XPIC capabilities enable N+0 capacity enhancements on a single RF channel.
The Intracom OmniBAS supports Gigabit Ethernet interfaces but can also manage legacy services easily with additional E1 interface cards. Sophisticated grooming and aggregation is possible making for extremely cost effective network deployments without the need for additional multiplexing equipment.
With all features software configurable via the comprehensive craft terminal, integration in both large and small networks is readily achieved as the radio is fully SNMP compliant. The Intracom UniMS network management platform allows all of the advanced features to be controlled, monitored and configured from a remote Network Management Centre.
